Floating Village (Kompong Pluk Siem Reap -Cambodia)

Floating village is stay on Tonle Sap Lake, that is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. The size surface area of the lake is 2,700 km² (1,000 sq mi). that lake is connecting to Mekong River. That so many kind of biodiversity and fish. Tonle Sap Lake is helping many people around there to getting water and fish for feeding them every year and month.

In Tonle Sap Lake has many village, the popular as closing to Siem Reap has, Chong Kneas Villlage(30min away from City center), Kompong Pluk Village (1hour away from city center), Kompong kleang Village (1hour and 30min away), Mechrey Village (1hour 40min away)..

Now We bring you to see best village is Kompong Pluk, (there is more than 700 boat rowers from households) that you could visit two option in raining reason. First We taking AC car from city to port, than taking big boat for visit around the village as you could see how people living on water, house, school, market, fish farm, crocodile farm...etc. Second thing, we going by small boat throw into forest to see flooded forest. Sometime you will enjoy many waterbird if you are leaving early morning. (note: while you going there you should wearing clothing similar to nature like brown, black green, ...etc but do not wear red, white, yellow, or black.
